Welcome to MouseGen. A blog of Disney fans writing about what makes them happy. We spend about as much time in the parks as we do anywhere else. From vacations, weekends, or a quick day trip during the week, you can always find us roaming the parks and resorts. While we call Disney World our 'home base,' trips to parks (and ships) abroad have become frequent between the group as we aim to explore and share all things Disney with you!
I'm Lake, the inland body of water. I grew up in chilly Pennsylvania and trips to Walt Disney World were frequent. When it came time to choose a college, proximity to the mouse was a must. Like the rest of the gang here at MouseGen, this meant trips to Disney are as frequent as breathing. If you had to take a shot in the dark at what park I'm at today, Epcot would be the best guess, Though I hold Animal Kingdom near and dear as well. Although I cannot stay away from a Dole Whip for too long. After hours you may find me hanging out at the popular Bar, Trader Sam's, adding another mug to our ever-growing collection If I'm not at the parks, you can probably find me playing board games, hanging out with my amazing wife (Kaitie) and our pup Walt, or playing some form of Pokemon. I love sharing my adventures with you and hope you do too.
Oui, oui mon ami, je m'appelle... Kaitie! A Florida girl at heart, I served my time up north before return to the Sunshine State for higher education and eventually, a career in high fashion espionage (in reality, I work in public accounting, but most people find the false story more fun.) My formative years were spent on family vacations to Disney, and when I moved to college less than an hour away, I found myself there every free moment I had. If home is where the heart is, that would be Fort Wilderness Resort, specifically the marina around sunrise, after a quick run or bike ride in the morning. If I had to pick one Disney thing to snack on forever, it would have to be a Dole Whip (dairy-free FTW!), and while my favorite park tends to change every month, it most often comes back to Epcot. I love trying to keep healthy despite my sweet tooth, usually with barre and spin classes, eating good food and drinking good wine, and cuddling with my pup (Walter) while assuring him he is the best dog in the world. I'm excited to share my love of Disney and life with you all (and Peggy!)
Hello fellow Mousekateers!! My name is Mark Iannuzzi and I LOVE everything Disney! I am a Junior Economics major at Florida Southern College, but more importantly my favorite park is Epcot by far! I love going to all of the parks and I really enjoy the German potato pancake as my top Disney snack. Most importantly, I love and always have loved everything Chip n Dale and try to find as much Chip n Dale merch as possible!
Hi there pal! My name is Abby Farrow and I am on my fifth year of being an annual passholder. I am very proud to be a local, and I love visiting the mouse every chance I get in my crazy college schedule. I have an unhealthy addition to School Bread from Kringla Bakeri og Café in the Norway Pavillion and I ride Space Mountain every chance I get. College classes are hard but what better way to de-stress than taking a stroll down main street and people watching from the hub? Hope you enjoy our adventures- see ya real soon!
Hello! My name is Blake and I am currently an intern for the Walt Disney World company but will be joining an advertising agency shortly. I enjoy going to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom the most! My favorite snack presides over on the West Coast in Disneyland. I am a sucker for the fruity pebble churro found in Downtown Disney! In my free time, I enjoy planning last minute trips to Disney... and enjoying a sweet treat every time! I also like going to the beach, petting doggos and meeting new people from all over!
Hi everybody! My name is Skai, proud annual passholder, and Disney enthusiast. I am from Pennsylvania originally but am attending college currently in the big apple for a degree in sport management! I’ve been going to Disney since before I can even remember and all of my families favorite memories are based around our trips to Disney World. My go-to park has to be Epcot. Nowhere else can you immerse yourself in so much culture, have so much good food and drink and yeah did I mention you can take a spaceship to MARS (sorry I love Mission Space)?! If you see me in the parks there is a 99% chance I’m snacking on a Mickey ice cream bar or diving into a chili cheese dog down at Casey’s Corner. When I’m away from Disney I love taking yoga classes, exploring NYC and painting. Can’t wait to talk about all things Disney with y’all!
